After finishing construction in mid-June, the disturbed area around this new patio was seeded to re-establish the lawn.

Two weeks after seeding, the new lawn is taking hold, although it is still very vulnerable to damage and requires frequent watering.

In late August, two and a half months after seeding, the lawn is fairly well-established. The summer weather (the hottest and driest on record) has left some bare spots, which can be overseeded in the fall.
